We will eventually be putting this into a template for others to make plugins, and desired features include the following:

dummy hello world executor plugin (this is the base requirement, of course!)
example testing setup
documentation template to render on GitHub pages, with instructions for where to link from Snakemake

Feel free to add to this list! We can transfer over to a template repository if/when needed.

Templating is now handled via a poetry plugin: https://github.com/snakemake/poetry-snakemake-plugin
Documentation scaffold is still missing for that template.
