Unfolding Fails on Simple File

I have a very simple file that only contains 2 foldings, but it still cannot be unfolded. Could you please take a look?

Strange, I more or less recreated the object in freecad and then unfold worked, even after exporting to step.

Hello, since I noticed that the package core does not support BSpline, I wrote a class to convert BSplines into planes or cylinders. The file I sent above is already the one after conversion.

could you explain what is the recreated the object in freecad

Do you have any plans to support BSpline in the future?

By "recreated" I mean that I took the measurements of your object and modeled it from scratch, just to be sure its not an issue of the shape.
Also FreeCAD reported your step file is a shell and not a solid.
Regarding bsplines there is a partial support as far as i know (the unfolder is not my code)

This file is the original one before conversion, and it is a BSpline file. I tested it directly in FreeCAD and the unfolding button was completely deactivated. That’s why I believe BSplines are not supported. Afterwards, I created a converter, and the issue I reported above occurred.....

That is one incredibly cursed file. Looks like everything is a bspline surface. I would consider this to be basically garbage, no better than an stl mesh. The first file you posted (report case fail unfloding.zip) still has bsplinesurfaces for the radii of the bends - they should be cylinders.

In general I don't think we can reasonably support input geometry that is of this poor quality.
