Unable to install sentinl on kibana 7.17.9

I'm eager to contribute to the advancement of the SENTINL open-source project, whether it's through ongoing maintenance, expansion, documentation, or testing.

Could you provide me with some initial guidance so I can effectively contribute to the project?

Kibana and Elasticsearch version that we are currently using

Kibana Version: 7.17.9
Elasticsearch Version: 7.17.18

Given our heavy reliance on SENTINL for alerting purposes, I'm particularly motivated to ensure its compatibility with version 7.x and beyond. Any assistance you could offer in getting started with contributing would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @jhamman-sharma and thanks for even just volunteering - this is a true rarity and it's very much appreciated.

The project is no longer maintained so it would need a complete review to find out what breaking changes in the APIs are preventing it from starting and/or working. I do see several active forks with updates but sadly none of them seems to be pushing changes upstream.

A good initial task to get the project back to active would be pulling all the active forks and their changes into a PR for sentinl, making a new release and restarting from there. If you need any assistance you can use this thread or any other, and if you land a working update PR you're welcome to join the project as well.
