Noun.

  1. The process of giving access to guns, military equipment and special defence into a certain subject that generally is not related to the military. The transformation of a non-military subject into a military or a paramilitary subject.

The militarisation of the police is a red flag for the democracy of a country.

  1. The act of sending an army into a country, a region or an area on purpose to commit a military intervention.

The militarisation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.

Hi @tatianamac! I wrote a definition for this term since I've noticed it used in a sort of neutrality, especially the militarisation of the police. Sometimes it is used as a natural state of modern societies. Of course, it is not!
