I know Dropbox changed it up and you had to swap it around having the directories in the dropbox directory and the symlinks on the system, but somehow the symlinks are linked to themselves.
Here you can see the directories within Dropbox
And here are the symlinks which are meant to refer to the directories above
And here you can see the symlinks linking to themselves.
Fortunately I know how to correct the problem myself but I expect there are many out there who don't. Thought you should know whilst it's still in it's beta stages.
