Indeed Interesting and its a great first step in providing support to the various other decentralised DNS system and providing "balancing" of the server request to other decentralised hosted mirrors ("pretty much similar to the libgen"/ torrent case study).

Also there was another blog that protocol labs released since 2021 regarding their approach in order to decentralise from the core root of the decentralised naming system here.

Also there are other initiative also being led by the polygon in this regard : https://www.dappstorekit.io , although that is solely on the side of providing trusted URI's for the famous applications and building the future of web3 based Dapp marketplace.
