Hello there, I hope this message finds you well. I was wondering if I could be assigned the task of working on Auxiliary verbs for German perfect conjugations in the Github repository. I believe that my skills and expertise align well with the requirements of the task, and I am eager to contribute to the project. Please let me know if this task is still available and if there is any additional information or guidance you can provide me with. I am excited to get started and make a meaningful contribution to the project. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing back from you soon. Best regards, |
Hey @abhijeet78880! Happy to hear from you 😊 This issue is more related as a marker for the community to eventually add these things into Wikidata where they're missing. There are no codes to be written per say, more just going through and finding where these are missing and adding them. I make issues here to note things down and check if they've been solved, and sometimes the community comes in here and helps as in #6 :) I'd be happy to suggest another issue if that'd be of interest :) |
Just to jump the gun on suggestions, #23 would be something that first needs some research, and then some major Python based machine learning would need to be written 😊 There are plenty of translation scripts that I've written that we could use as a baseline. Not sure what your skill level is, but if you've got some persistence we can work on that :) |
Thank you for getting in touch! I appreciate your response and explanation regarding the issue I raised. It's great to hear that the community can come together to help out with these kinds of tasks. I would love to contribute in any way I can, so please do suggest another issue that I could work on. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon! |
I was a bit faster than you 😉🙃 Let's chat over in #23 if you're interested! |
😅😅 Thank you for suggesting issue #23. I appreciate the detailed explanation and challenge it presents. I am definitely interested in taking on this task. I am excited to dive into the research and work on developing a baseline script to tackle this issue. Thank you for your guidance and support, and I look forward to working on this with you |
Hi @andrewtavis 👋🏼, |
This is more of a Wikidata editing issue, @Collins-Webdev, not so much for Scribe-Data. Give me a moment and there should be more issues soon :) |
You'd be welcome to work on #116, @Collins-Webdev :) Feel free to start working on any queries that you don't see in the current version of main 😊 |

Description
Many German verbs do not have auxiliary verbs on Wikidata meaning that their full perfect conjugations cannot be displayed. Those verbs that do not have their auxiliary verbs can be found in the German verbs json. For each verb that has missing data, the correct one should be added and annotated with P5401.
Help adding these auxiliary verbs into Wikidata would be much appreciated!
