Delay in button change makes Retype feel laggy #725

  1. Head to https://retype.com/guides/getting-started/
  2. Under 'Configuration', click 'Page'.
  3. Observe a very slight delay from the button turning from this:

    Into this:
    Image
    With the change only occuring after the entire page has been loaded.

This makes Retype 'feel' laggy. Its like you click something and then there is a delay to the button itself responding. But really, the button should be perfectly capable of changing appearance, without having to wait for the entire new page to load.

By contrast, if you visit Gitbook and you click on a side menu item, the button changes instantly but the page still takes a while to load. It may actually be slower than Retype, yet Retype 'feels' slower to me subjectively because of the lack of responsiveness.
