You'd have to ask on the zotero forums. Zotero importers cannot do anything with attachments other than telling zotero where to find them. If it is possible to do this then zotero would be in the best position to do it for all importers at once. |

I'm preparing a large *bib database for import to Zotero. Is there a way to have Better BibTeX tell Zotero to automatically convert all embedded annotations of the linked PDF files to Zotero annotations?
I know that in Zotero's
Export Library ...
dialogue when selecting Better Bib(La)TeX I can tell it to alsoExport files
and also have the option toInclude annotations
which according to the documentation should embed Zotero annotations in the PDF so that they can be read by external PDF readers. Is there a way to do the reverse?
To tell Zotero to move all embedded PDF annotations into Zotero's database and delete the embedded annotations (essentially replicate in bulk what I could do file by file when opening a PDF in Zotero and choosing "Import Annotations ..." from the file menu).
