How to Use shortjournal as journal Field in Better BibLaTeX Export from Zotero

I'm using Zotero with the Quick Copy feature and the Better BibLaTeX export format to generate my .bib entries. The exported entries include both the journaltitle (the full name of the journal) and shortjournal (the abbreviated journal name) fields.

However, in my LaTeX document, the bibliography style expects the journal field. Since journal is not present in the exported entries, the citation is not coming correctly.

What is the recommended way to make the shortjournal field act as the journal field? Ideally, I'd like to either:

• Automatically map shortjournal to journal during export, or
• Have Better BibLaTeX populate the journal field directly using the abbreviation.

Is there a configuration setting or a postscript I can use to achieve this?

If you get journaltitle, you are exporting with Better BibLaTeX. If you want journal, you should use Better BibTeX.

If this is really what you want, you'd have to use postscripts. There is no setting that does this.
