I have a grandfathered serverpilot account and have been trying to get this ssl option work for me to no avail. I have tried severally and would appreciate any help.

I have tried with the domain on cloudflare and off cloudflare and I keep getting the same error.

A possible DNS issue found. site.com may be pointing to a wrong IP (correct server ip)

SSL not available for this app yet.

I would appreciate any help to fix this problem.

Thanks

The RWSSL application by RehmatWorks is based on the now deprecated CERTBOT-AUTO. However, this script is no longer maintained by LetsEncrypt/Certbot/EFF. See:

Certbot documentation

So even if you get RWSSL to work, it is not future proof.

The current supported way to install (and get updates for) Certbot on Ubuntu is via the SNAP repository.

I have no idea if RehmatWorks is going to update RWSSL to work with the SNAP version of Certbot.

Alternatively you can uninstall RWSSL and remove CERTBOT-AUTO, install CERTBOT via SNAP, for grandfathered SP create certs with the --webroot option, create a “yourappname.ssl.conf” file in /etc/nginx-sp/vhosts.d/ with the paths to your app, cert and key, check the configuration with the command “nginx-sp -t”, restart nginx-sp and create a hook to automatically restart Nginx-SP after every cert-renewal
