If you're up for it, I'd love to get your thoughts on future extensions to gene-e or how you've used it in the past year or so. Have you considered what it would take to support binary phenotypes, rare variants, and/or rare outcomes? More generally, I'd also like to hear what you think of other methods in this space (with a few we know of listed in that thread).

We haven't met yet but I believe you spoke to @hammer recently, and we both work on https://github.com/pystatgen/sgkit. I'm very interested in getting some functionality like gene-e up and running in that project. We have a related thread about it at https://github.com/pystatgen/sgkit/issues/692.
