straight fails very early in startup emacs

When start Emacs the shown lines come up by starting with the GUI (macOS 14.2.1 on imac 24" with M1 chip), and the startup sequence stops here.
The error do not come with start in a terminal with "emacs --debug-init", and all of init.el it read and evaluated

Hum. That's very odd. Maybe add (setq straight-log t) to your init-file before loading straight.el, and then see what shows up in the *straight-log* buffer? That might help to determine what is wrong.
