I'm just wondering about some basic uses for Quartz. I'm looking to continuously-run a series of WindowsServices or ScheduledTasks to manage a queue (like an MSMQ). I see a lot of support for scheduling of a job...but not necessarily for managing a continuous service (or task).
Is anyone using Quartz for continuously-running services?
If so, I am assuming Quartz can bring-up downed service...is this correct?
If not, is there a better option?
It "looks like" Quartz will run in "vanilla .NET" is this correct? (Im using 4.67 ATM)
Is SQL persistence optional? Can I control the schema?
Most of my questions are around that sort of thing.
I'm not lazy & I appreciate any help. But, I'm home sick ATM & I am trying to get some reading done (but it is hard). So any answers, suggections or links is truly appreciated.
