It seems the manual at slf4j.org is ahead of the source code.
It mentions version 2.0.0, stating it requires Java 8. Yet the github repository only has an alpha label for 2.0 and mentions Java 9.
Essentially,. by just reading the doc it seems 2.0 is mature and released, yet github reveals it is not yet.
Minor annoyance : the link to issues from slf4j.org produces 'project%20%3D%20SLF4J', which produces a JQL query error.
