{{ generate_google_analytics_script(id=theme_google_analytics_id) }}

There's a google_analytics_id related meta tag but it's kinda hardcoded in.

I came from https://github.com/executablebooks/sphinx-book-theme did which extends this theme

So i want to do a similar theme as executablebooks/sphinx-book-theme but somehow allows individual users to add custom meta tags

is this possible?

Referencing executablebooks/sphinx-book-theme#470 as well even tho that is for visible widgets whereas I'm talking about invisible html meta tags

It should be possible to extend the layout accordingly to the second method proposed by @choldgraf in this comment: #615 (comment).

@damianavila My problem is (and i apologize for not scoping it more accurately the first try) that I'm using jupyter-books so it's hard to wrap my head around the advice under #615 (comment) which I have mentioned in far greater detail at executablebooks/meta#726 (comment)

I didn't know i had this issue opened, so I am going to close this as well and moved to that meta discussion
