Rendering of the header links

Hi everyone, thanks for this great theme!

I am in the process of switching my documentation to PyData and I am setting some header links, with the configuration header_links_before_dropdown to avoid overcrowding the header.
I noticed that when I reduce the size of the browser, the rendering of the header breaks, see the image below.
Is there a way to add dynamically the headers to the dropdown as the window shrinks?

A few folks have also reported this in #2022, there is no way to dynamically move items to the dropdown right now, so we will be looking at scoping a fix.

To avoid duplication, I will close this discussion and keep all the reports and progress updates in the corresponding issue.
