I propose a slight restructuring of the PyWhy website at https://pywhy.org.
The following mockups give an overview of the changes (providing 3 slightly different versions here for discussion). Clicking on thumbnails will open them in a zoomable version:
Some explanation of the changes:
Main page:
Move mission statement up. Should not be below the fold
Replace installation instructions with button to DoWhy documentation website -> Getting Started/installation section. Target audience of pywhy.org is business owners and decision makers. But we also want to provide a path for scientists who land here, so they get quickly to where they want to be.
Remove Learn section. Case Studies and News are more important for target audience.
Align cards in height
Remove round corners. Doesn't play well with the general style of the page.
Only show 3 cards in a row to make it less daunting
Header:
Install in header links to the installation page in DoWhy docs. (We should keep these instructions in one place.)
Let Resources point back to the main page, but it should scroll right to the Resources section. (no dedicated resources page)
Replace the Learn dropdown in the header with a direct Case Studies link, pointing to a dedicated Case Studies page.
Stays as is (for now):
News page and the link to it in the header
Not done yet (will open separate issues for these):
We should have a proper mobile website. Business owners and decision makers rarely use bigger screens these days.
Make tall cards on main page vertically smaller
