What happened?

As the title says, the Facebook Messenger app, which seems to be created by PWABuilder:

It won't open if the last profile used with Microsoft Edge was a different profile than the profile used when installing the app.

Related:

How do we reproduce the behavior?

  • Windows + Microsoft Edge with one personal profile & 1 work profile.
  • Install Messenger app while only having Edge with personal profile open.
  • Open Messenger, use it. Close it.
  • Change to Edge with work profile, make sure no Edge with personal profile is open.
  • Close Edge with work profile.
  • Try to open Messenger. It won't open.

To mitigate:

  • Open Edge with personal profile.
  • Open Messenger app, it will open.

What do you expect to happen?

Messenger should open regardless of what profile I last had open with Edge.

What environment were you using?

Windows 11 24H2
MS Edge v134
Messenger from Microsoft Store v1.0.0.2
