Assuming it's possible to embed a grammar within another.

I believe you can, although there are gotchas, and the repeated comment start chars -- may be an issue? https://discuss.atom.io/t/better-syntax-highlighting/7176/3

I wonder if it's enough to embed markdown on each line? Probably somewhat useful but obviously fails when anything interesting crops up
