Message for Measure Feature (Views/Downloads)

Description

We would like a message to appear over the measure feature (page views and downloads) when hovering. A message will help to contextualize the measures being recorded. The message is first being crafted by Kate L. and will then be refined by PRDS.

User Story

Rupert is viewing their published deposit and notices the measure feature (views/downloads) to the right of the screen. Initially, they aren't sure how this data was gathered and this uncertainty gives them pause. They hover over the feature and a message appears. The message explains how the data are gathered, including information about Plausible and inviting questions to be sent to [email protected]. Rupert is relieved that Google is not involved, because they know something about Google's questionable practices. The message makes them feel more comfortable about this feature and offers information so that it is better understood.

Will need to utilize popovers in bootstrap to allow for linking in the hover text.

Acceptance Criteria

• A message will appear when hovering over the measure feature.
• The message will contextualize the feature. (note: Kate will begin crafting the message, then PRDS will refine and return it to RDSS.)
• The message will include a hyperlink to [email protected] to consult for any questions.
