Having trouble accessing DOTDOWN / DOTUP symbols

Program fails trying to fetch data for an invalid symbol with error: RecursionError: maximum recursion depth exceeded while calling a Python object

I have a transaction 10068567,2021-05-20 23:11:32,Spot,Buy,DOTDOWN,553.36000000,""

The program tries to fetch the DOTDOWNBTC and ends up running into recursion issue, How can i make the program to check this symbol only for USDT. ie. tell the program to look for DOTDOWNUSDT instead of DOTDOWNBTC.

Are DOTUP/DOTDOWN futures or also available for spot trading? Future trading is not implemented yet.

https://api.binance.com/api/v3/aggTrades?symbol=DOTUPUSDT&startTime=1621549949000&endTime=1621550009000 is returning values. Need a way to skip the btc pair lookup

I see, they're "leveraged tokens" and basically future contracts made available to the spot market (if I understood this correctly). It seems that different API calls would be necessary to get historic price data.
Also, I'm not sure how taxation works in this case (if the tokens can be treated as normal spot trades or have to be treated as future/margin trades). This impacts the tax percentage.
You could check if #58 relates to your problem.

Ok, in this case, the Binance price fetching function https://github.com/provinzio/CoinTaxman/blob/main/src/price_data.py#L49 probably needs to be changed. Alternatively, #16 might also fix your problem.

You could try #16 and See if that fixes that but if think we had also an error there fetching prices from leveraged tokens
