When adding items in the Description field of Classes/Object Properties/Data Properties the currently selected item is changed #1278

I can't determine what exactly triggers this, but:

Very often when you have a Class (or Object Property or Data Property) selected in the hierarchy view, and then "add" a description in the Description view, the relevant item in the hierarchy view is changed...usually (or maybe always) to the top of the hierarchy, i.e. owl:thing.

This means that it's extremely easy to apply "SubClass Of" to the wrong class. This seems to happen throughout the UI.

I am currently learning Protege, so my nomenclature may be off here. I can definitely attest that it has made learning more difficult, and I feel the need to constantly check to see that the thing I have selected is STILL selected whenever I make any changes.

You can see an example of the issue in this video at the 1:20 mark. My comment in the video links to the correct spot.

Note that the video is using an older version of Protege Desktop, but I am using the current version 5.6.5 on MacOS.
