Why is Prettier so resistant to adding an option to not reformat parentheses in logic when so many people want it?

While Prettier may not ruin the logic of most equations by removing parentheses, or other kilometers, they are really useful for human beings to chunk things together, which is how our memory works. But repeatedly, the Prettier powers-that-be repeatedly refuse to add an option to not remove parentheses in logic. Why do you think that is? And if you're from prettier, why is that? Many people are asking for this. Why are you so dug in against this??
