Run Pixi tasks in nested workspaces

Hi all, firstly, Pixi is great, and I am using it on all my projects at the moment. One of my Rust libraries gets imported as a Git submodule into my other projects.

I currently have this task in the parent project

fbs = { cmd = "pixi run build release", cwd = "msg_utils" }

But this produces the warning

WARN Using local manifest [submodule]/pixi.toml rather than [parent proj]/pixi.toml from environment variable `PIXI_PROJECT_MANIFEST`

Is there a better way to run tasks from nested workspaces? I imagine this is not uncommon, so would also be interested in how others handle this.
