As @grahamc pointed out in #438, the usage example at the time of his change indicated that if you don't have a home, you aren't a Person. That's a rather poor statement to be making in a tutorial. We've merged a change to correct that, however, using Person as an example seems open to other unintentional slights or poor examples.

I suggest that to avoid any potential issues in the future, I think that switching from person to something like animal classification would be a better example here.

I am willing to help whoever wants to handle this issue. I am a Bioinformatician and have worked on the Tutorial before so can help guide the rewrite to using animal classification.

Funnily enough I have worked in taxonomy before so am aware of the debates therein, however this change is about switching to a more welcoming example not about animal taxonomy itself.
