In this sample only the form settings are saved to a list, I can't find the part that assigns the specified URL to the content type. Is this example listed somewhere? can redirection work in an on-premise environment?

Hi @Mykie89, SPFx now supports this feature as Form Customizer
This sample only works on SharePoint Online

Yes, SPFx support Form Customizer, but works only SharePoint Online.
I am looking for a solution that works in on-premise SPSE version and can override the defult modern list form.
