Thanks for suggesting Proton Authenticator, it looks interesting!

I had a few questions, maybe I just overlooked something:

1. From the official Proton website, the link points to github.com/orgs/protonpass/repositories. There I only found repositories for Android and iOS. For macOS, Windows, and Linux, I couldn’t find the source code or build instructions — maybe I just missed it?
2. On macOS, the app seems to be available only via the App Store, which requires an Apple ID. As far as I know, creating an Apple ID involves providing a phone number, which doesn’t seem very privacy-friendly. Are there any alternative installation options?
3. If I understand correctly, Proton Authenticator is integrated with Proton Pass and relies on the cloud. If so, it might not be fully “zero-knowledge” in the sense of keeping everything strictly local on the device. Did I get that right?

For a truly open project that aims to protect data and privacy, I think these are reasonable questions to ask.

I’d be grateful if someone could clarify these points.
