hi there,

when using Keepshare to find a password for an app and there is no result found (red message: No logins found) there is still the possibility to search for the correct entry.

It would be great to have this option also when using Keepshare with web pages. If there is nothing found there is no possibility to search. Is this by intention?

Cheers,

It was mostly superseded by form-fill support in Opera and Chrome (and aosp
browser) -- I haven't wanted to test the interactions of swapping keyboards
in the middle of a share operation, etc.

FWIW, Keepass2Android manages to swap keyboards just fine when no entries are found. In fact after you've manually selected the entry you want, Keepass2Android offers to store the app name or shared URL right in the entry, so that the next time you search, the entry is found automatically.

The OP says that when an app is not found, you can still search. However I'm not seeing this for all apps. On some, all I see is the red "No logins found" with no options to continue with a search. The only option is a "Cancel" button which exits the KeepShare keyboard, making it pretty much unusable for logging into these apps or websites.

#1 seems related (same issue?)

@pfn well, I do not use any of those browser ;)

I work around by using opening keepshare manually + search + "use keyboard button" and switch back to browser. Works but not as optimized as it should be.

@fritzophrenic I think for apps I can search upon no result found but not for webpages. This is how it is for me. And the question was if the same behaviour (direct search from [no] results box) would be possible to implement or not.

As i understood now from Perrys comment the major difference is that for webpages it is a share operation which makes it difficult to swap keyboards in the middle (or it was not evaluated so far).
