Does RtmpOnlyAudio handle connection closures initiated by the server?

Hello. My app uses RtmpOnlyAudio (v2.6.4) to create an audio stream via RTMPS. It works, and clients can listen to this stream.

When the server detects that no one is listening to the stream anymore, it sends an Action Message Format (AMF) message "NetConnection.Connect.Closed" and then closes the connection. However, RtmpOnlyAudio doesn’t receive any errors or events, and it looks like the stream is still working.

I haven’t found any way to receive AMF messages directly and only use the ConnectChecker listener.
It triggers onConnectionStarted and onConnectionSuccess, but onDisconnect or onConnectionFailed are never called.

Is this a library issue, or am I doing something incorrectly? How do I can close the stream in my case?

Hello,

This maybe is an issue in my side. That message is maybe ignored and the library never detect that the socket is closed.
I need a bit more info to handle that packet.
Can you share me logs of my library when the server close the connection using RtmpClient as filter tag?

I don't have any error level logs in log cat.

When I start streaming I see in logs next lines (a lot):

After some time, the server closes the connection, and RtmpSender doesn’t write any logs, but BufferPoolAccessor2 keeps writing logs. I didn’t find anything else suspicious or useful.

It looks like I have not logs after closing connection. After these events I have a lot of RtmpSender and then - nothing

By the way, when I turn off the internet using Airplane mode, I see the same behavior — no errors occur.

If you are using wifi, it is normal because the wifi is not turn off in air plane mode (it can be configured in the device)

I tested it with cellular internet. It is the same.

1. Wifi is OFF
2. Start stream on mobile internet
3. turn off mobile internet
4. nothing happened

That is weird, do you have a way to share me an environment to tests it? If not, I can try create a branch with more logs to debug the case

Unfortunately, I can't share my environment with you.
The RTMP server is implemented using https://github.com/winshining/nginx-http-flv-module.
If the server detects that no one is connected as a listener, it waits for 1 minute and then closes the stream.

Also, let me know this. Are you using an emulator to test?
Do you have the config file in nginx server or the parameter used to close the stream after 1min to reproduce your case?

Hello. I tried your PR in my project. Unfortunately it doesn't work.
You added NetConnection.Connect.Closed event but it could be solution only when this event is logged in "else" block below. There was not there.
After debugging I found that after closing connection by the server function handleMessages throw exeption on the first line
" var socket = this.socket ?: throw IOException("Invalid socket, Connection failed")" many times. This is infinite loop.

I did another commit in the PR, test it and let me know if it is working for you. Also, report me back the string received inside onConnectionFailed that now should be called.

It works!
onConnectionFailed returns "Channel is already closed" for both cases:

1. server closes stream when no body listen the stream
2. when user turns off internet on the phone
