What is the problem this feature would solve?

bun lockfile created on amd64 fails to work on arm64 with the frozen-lockfile flag. This is not immediately evident when reading the documentation on lockfiles.

What is the feature you are proposing to solve the problem?

Mimic package-lock.json to make the lockfile work cross platform.

What alternatives have you considered?

bun install without --frozen-lockfile works, but isn't ideal.
