Normal for a given joint #9
Comments
What I ended up doing is taking average of normals from the vertices that represent the palm of the hand. |
Hey @abhinavkk. I need to use the MANO normals for fitting. Can you tell me how did you get the normals? |
You can use open3d to estimate the normals for the hand point cloud. Depending on the part of the hand for which you want to compute the normal you can select the respective points from the point cloud. |

Hello,
Is there a way I can get a normal from a particular joint of the model, or particular vertices around a joint to compute this normal? Basically, I am trying to find a way to get a normal from the hand face which can represent the approach vector of the mano hand and was hoping to learn the best way of doing that from the given mano hand data.
