useMutation + get request

The documentation states:

Use to generate a useMutation custom hook. The hook will only be generated if the operation is not a GET operation, and not configured to generate a query.

However, why is there such a limitation in place?

There are use cases which (imo) are valid; for example, data which is not displayed in the browser: e.g. downloading a file via a route present in the API specification.
