How to return Option<_> when create a record with random ID?

I am using

struct Record {
    id: Thing,
}
let record: Vec<Record> = db.create(TABLE_NAME).content(...).await?

to insert a record in the table and get the id back. But I want the return type to be Option<Record> as it is more reasonable. Is there a way to achieve that? I've tried let record: Option<Record> = ... but failed

Yes, adding .take(0) to the end should do it. There is an example here showing the method in use: https://docs.rs/surrealdb/latest/surrealdb/struct.Response.html#method.take

Thanks @Dhghomon . I have switched to use .query("create only ...) to achieve this. I don't know if take can achieve it as take(0) means take the result of first query, not the first result of the vector

Interestingly looks like only makes no difference on the Rust client side.

    let stuff = db
        .query("create only user set name = 'Mr. User'")
        .await
        .unwrap()
        .take::<Option<User>>(0);
    println!("{stuff:#?}");

And Option will work as long as a single object is returned. So if you change it to something like .query("create |user:2| set name = 'Mr. User'") then it won't work as an Option but Vec will be fine.
