416 Requested range not satisfiable

I am getting an error 416 (or 500) on a clients Windows Edge 129 Browser for PMTiles. Does anyone have an idea what that might be or how to debug / fix it?

All other parts of the system work as expected.
When I test the same on Browserstack everything works fine.

So I am assuming that something on the

Testcase 1: => 500 Internal Server Error

I am assuming that S3 returns a 500 but internally it is the same as testcase 2?

I'm testing out a new platform for https://demo-bucket.protomaps.com/v4.pmtiles (Tigris Data) and it seems a bit flaky so I don't think any failures there are related to situation 1.

I don't have access to a Windows + Edge environment right now, but can you reproduce this 100% of the time or is it intermittent? The site works for me on Mac + Safari.

@bdon good to know about the v4 URL. What do you think is the reason for the error 500 on the other URLs? All other URLs I tested are hosted on S3, so I thought that S3 maybe has the same issue as the V4 URL but returns a more generic error…
Right now, I assume that the computer or network configuration might be the cause … but I don't how if something like "disallow range requests" is something that strict IT admins would do…

It works with the same Edge Browser on Browserstack. But it fails reliably on this one machine. I don't have any other cases / datapoints yet, unfortunately.

can you test on other browsers on the same machine, and check for any browser extensions that might interfere?
