Can I format text output from a code-cell?

I have some executable python code in a code-cell that prints some JSON formatted text to the output cell. Is there any way to display the output cell so that the output is syntax coloured as it would be if the text was surrounded in a

```json
```

block? E.g.

```{code-cell}
:tags: ["hide-input"]
import json
print(json.dumps({'key': None}))  # Will print {"key": null}
```

produces a plain text output cell, bit it would be nice to render it in a cell equivalent to this:

```json
{"key": null}
```
