currently, deleting a specific version of a package on ghcr is prohibitively expensive;
one of my projects produce 5 separate packages (the same software but with different feature sets enabled), and, since the images are multiplatform, each package then has 6 arch-specific images (386,amd64,armv7,arm64v8,ppc64le,s390x), producing 30 arch-specific images and 5 version tags in total.
if I want to delete a specific version of my software, this currently requires 5*(6+1) = 35 manual delete actions; once for the version tag itself, then once for each arch, and there are 5 packages. Each deletion requires me to confirm the action by copypasting the package name, and each of those deletion operations also take a long time to process individually.
on dockerhub, this is far easier -- I only need to delete the version tag for each package. That still means 5 manual steps to go through, but that is far less than the N² on ghcr.
I expected this to work like it does on dockerhub; if I delete the version tag, then it should delete all the associated arch-specific images for that tag. Is there a reason this is not the case?
