Removing email

Those commits just won't be associated with your account anymore, since they were pushed using your work email as their identity. I'm not sure that the warning is actually checking if there are any said commits (those commits could even be uploaded in the future by someone else). Also note:, github recommends that you have a single account for both work and personal use. In fact it is against the terms of service to have multiple free tier accounts that belong to a single person. |

I want to remove my work email which I was using as a backup on my personal git account because I need a separate account using my work email. I found a very helpful resource on github to manage my account emails. But when I went to make delete the work email, it warned that I would lose commits that were made when when I used the email. (I don't know if I ever had it as primary, but that is possible in the distant past.) How can I see what would be affected if I delete that email from my personal account?
