Is it me (user error) or toher folks see strange indenting too?

Hi @CodyALohse , Thanks for reporting this issue. Have you been facing it quite often or this is just a one off incident? Does it happen only with C/C++ or have you experienced it with other languages in Visual Studio 2022?

It's fairly consistent. I'm using C# and I haven't tried to reproduce with other languages. I've attached a minimal reproduceable (at least reproducible for me) VS solution. I hope that's helpful.

I'm using ctrl + alt + \ to trigger copilot in this example:

I also had this issue but it appears to have been fixed for me with VS2022 Version 17.6.0 Preview 6.0

Thank You @pontusnaslund for sharing. @leo-zspace and @CodyALohse - could you please check if updating to the latest version of VS2022 Version 17.6.0 Preview 6.0 solves the issue for you?

Yes, it appears to be resolved in the latest preview build (17.6.0 Preview 7.0).

I'm using Visual Studio 17.6.3 and facing the same issue. I'm using C/C++. A fix is to change the tab setting to 'insert spaces'. If this is done it works as expected, but I don't want that.

This is still an issue on Visual Sutdio 17.6.4 and Github Copilot 1.84.0.1 (latest versions of both).

I turned off adaptive formatting and this issue seemed to occur less, but it didn't completely go away.

I have this issue under VS 17.7.4 with C#. Changing from "Smart" to "Block" does nothing.

I'm running 17.8.1 and it's still present, a colleague of mine is running the latest preview and says it's still present there too.

Is there any road map for a fix @Akash1134, do you need any more reproduction information?

I just upgraded to Version 17.8.5 and the issue is still there. Can you fix it please, it really impairs a user experience with CoPilot.

I will check in again here once the fix is released and ready for y'all to try.
