Dependabot support for gomod major release

Hey folks, is Dependabot able to detect go modules of new major release?

For example, I wanna track the update for github.com/user/example module for the current project, but it seems the bot only finds its current major version (v0 or v1) and not v2 or above(while github.com/user/example has v2 and v3 releases)

Is this possible or did I miss anything in the config file?
