Hey Fabiana, Thanks for sharing your problem! That does sound annoying, but I think we can sort it out. GPG Key Deletion: Go back into your GitHub settings and make sure that GPG key has actually been deleted. If still there, delete the thing by hand so future commits will not be verified against it. Verify Email for Commit: To set it locally run the following command below, replacing [email protected] with your own GitHub email address. Your Git email should be equal to your GitHub email.
Commits won't appear: That's strange. Maybe your commits are going to a branch other than master, or maybe one of the other third-party utilities is interfering. If this doesn't work, try contacting GitHub support with these screenshots and they can better investigate this for you. Hope this helps! |

I’ve been experiencing an issue where some of my commits have been disappearing weekly for about two months. My commits were previously verified by a GPG key that was associated with the email address linked to my GitHub account ([email protected]).
Recently, I deactivated the GPG key, but when I make new commits, they still appear as verified by the deactivated key. This raises a concern that there might be a platform issue, as a considerable number of my contributions have been disappearing on a weekly basis. I’ve attached images showing this issue.
I primarily use GitHub through the browser and rarely use Git directly. I'm seeking help to:
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
Best regards,
Fabiana Campanari
