Question

Hi everyone,

I'm using Tool A, a third-party code scanning tool, to scan the code in my repository. Tool A generates the results in JSON format. I'm using a GitHub Action to convert those JSON results to SARIF format and then upload them to GitHub.

When the SARIF file contains security alerts, GitHub displays them correctly on the Advanced Security tab. However, when the SARIF file has no alerts, GitHub continues to show previously identified alerts instead of automatically dismissing them.

How can I achieve automatic dismissal of alerts in this scenario?

Got the answer.
Was able to solve it by modifying the json to SARIF file conversion.
