404 Not Found Error When Accessing Helm Charts via GitHub Pages

When attempting to add or update my Helm chart repository or to fetch a Helm chart, I receive a 404 Not Found error. The Helm charts are supposed to be hosted on GitHub Pages, and the repository is set up to serve content from the /docs directory on the main branch.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Push Helm charts and index.yaml to the /docs directory on the main branch of the GitHub repository.
2. Set up GitHub Pages to serve from the main branch and /docs folder.
3. Attempt to add the Helm repository or fetch a chart using Helm CLI.

Expected Behavior:
Helm should successfully add the repository and fetch the Helm charts hosted on GitHub Pages without any errors.

Additional Information

• The index.yaml file exists within the /docs directory and references chart packages with URLs that are structured correctly.
• Direct access to https://janmarchel7bulls.github.io/helm-charts/index.yaml results in a 404 error, even though the file exists in the GitHub repository under the correct path.
• GitHub Pages settings appear to be configured correctly, pointing to the main branch and /docs directory.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken

• Verified that the index.yaml and chart .tgz files exist in the /docs directory in the repository.
• Checked GitHub Pages settings for correct configuration.
