Scope of bazel-contrib

This repo is governed by the Community for Bazel, a Technical Steering Committee under the Linux Foundation.

These repos currently don't have dedicated funding or a long-term commitment to support or maintenance by a commercial entity. While they benefit from the continued interest of their maintainers, we're exploring ways to guarantee long term support as more projects depend upon these repos.

We'd also like to expand the kinds of problems the Bazel community can solve for rules maintainers and rules consumers.

Please comment with:

• If your company is relies on OSS Bazel projects, and to what extent (specific repos would be good to know).
• What might entice your company to directly support these projects? For example, would it be open to public recognition of sponsorship backed by dedicated funding and/or development effort?
