I can confirm.
I am having the same issue with homebrew-core repository.
homebrew-cask seems to work though and no general github issue currently.

This is a github issue, unfortunately there's nothing brew can do about this.

@SMillerDev Understood—however, why such a long timeout? Is it due to multiple retries with repeated failures? Is there a way to decrease the hang in the console there is a network issue like this?
