It looks like the google-cloud-sdk (gcloud cli) cask is broken (at least for me). It looks related to issues with Python3.9 changes. The installer dumps the following error:
Anyway, I figured I'd post on the off chance the Cask maintainer sees this or other run into this. I tried setting CLOUDSDK_PYTHON=python without success so I assume the installer doesn't care about the CLOUDSDK_PYTHON var. |

There's nothing in the cask code that's related to python so this is an issue in the cloud SDK itself |
