Ask a question related to OpenToonz

I don't know what I did, but I don't have a canvas to draw on in any of the OpenToonz tabs. I have re-started it, I have deleted it and installed it again, I have downloaded the latest version, I have done everything I could think of. I looked around a bit (admittedly didn't dig very deep), and I didn't find anything like this. I think I'm just a big enough idiot to break the software in a way that nobody has figured out yet.

Not too difficult a problem.
You just need to reset and restart.

After resetting and restarting and confirming everything is back in place to your likeing you may want to use the padlock icon on the top right of the screen to lock everything down.

Remember, that padlock only locks the room buttons, not the panels.
To lock the panels, so you can't accidentally change them, tick the box in the menu:
Windows > Workspace > Lock Room Panes.

Regarding a clean install: The settings for the rooms (other other personal settings) are stored in the C:\OpenToonz\stuff folder, so if you plan to re-install you'll have to delete that folder. Do bare in mind that by default, your projects are saved in that same folder, so you might want to rename it instead. Or even better, change the setting in the preferences to save projects in your Documents folder, then you can just delete that folder without worrying about your projects.

Will plan to move this to Opentoonz documenation where information here can be considered for inclusion in official documenation and troubleshooting advice.

@ZeeZee-I Hopefully you are having success in seeing your Panels/Windows restored.
