Would be nice to have a styleguide page for internal ui development.

Should be able to make a route that's only available for local dev. Webpack can do dead-code elimination when building for production or gh-pages

Heard about Storybook. Would that be similar to what you envision? Or overkill?

That looks really cool. It's similar to what I had in mind, but I think something simple as rendering a component next to a <code> snippet would suffice too.
