omero login stalls when firewall blocks port 4063/4064 #437

With a firewall blocking access to the omero server, omero login asks for credentials and then stalls. You also cannot terminate the process with CTRL-C. It would be nice to have a timeout or maximum number of connection trials and allow CTRL-C to stop the program.
