I noticed there is no discussion section so I hope it's ok to post here.
I have been a happy user of the hacs lg integration for the past 2 years at least.
I honestly never had an issue with it ( I only have 2 appliances integrated) I most of the time forget it exists.
Now, from previous experiences with manufacturers of other devices locking their firmware and break integration, I thought I should ask here.
There is an update for both of my appliances from the manufacturer and I guess I just want to know if it's ok to update or just leave them be.
I rather just have a working integration than opt for whatever backdoor the manufacturer include with their update and break this HACS integration?
What's the best course of action?
My concern is the safety of the current firmware on the appliances.
Thank you!
